Late Wednesday night, calls began coming in to 911 about a fire on the roof of the Yeon building at Southwest 5th and Ash Street in downtown Portland.

The Portland Fire Bureau called two alarms bringing 60 firefighters.  They had to carry hoses and other equipment up 15 flights of stairs.

The fire burned an area of about 25 feet.  

The Yeon building houses offices and businesses.  It was evacuated along with some nearby buildings that could have been in danger.

The fire was put out after 20 minutes.

An investigator is working on the cause.
