Traffic congestion is expected on the Sellwood Bridge and near the bridge on Highway 43 Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to heavy construction activity.

Long trucks are delivering concrete girders on August 5 and 6 for the west approach to the new bridge.

Other construction work requires a southbound lane of Highway 43 to be closed north and south of the bridge.  Travelers may want to consider using alternate routes such as the Ross Island Bridge to avoid delays.
