Sheriff's Deputies: Cemetery Theft Solved
Posted June 26th, 2014 @ 1:07pm by Gale Cunningham

Forty-two-year-old Randall Kuschnick is charged with stealing metal flower vases and wire fencing from the Belle Passi Cemetery in rural north Marion County.

Marion County Sheriff's deputies were alerted by the cemetery caretaker, who discovered the items missing between June 13th and June 20th.

Deputies used recycling records from local metal scrappers to track down and arrest Mr. Kuschnick for the thefts.  He was cited for first-degree theft and released.  He is scheduled to appear in court on July 25th in Salem.
