Saturday morning, Clackamas Fire District #1 firefighters responded to a reported house fire at 3835 SE Adams St. in Milwaukie.

Initial reports advised that there may possibly be people still inside.

Firefighters arrived to find fire from the front of the house. After confirming that at least one person was still inside, firefighters went into a rescue mode. Firefighters located the female inside of the house, and removed her. She was treated for possible smoke inhalation, and transported to Providence Milwaukie Hospital.

Firefighters were also able to safely rescue two dogs from the house.

While the rescue was occurring, other arriving fire units extinguished the fire. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the front exterior and interior areas of the house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
