It's official. Mean Girls is officially taking the stage! Starting in October the show will have a limited five week run in Washington DC before heading to New York City with previews starting on March 12th.
Tina Fey returned to write the book for the show. She did this alongside Jeff Richmond (30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Scmidt) composing the music, lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde) and director Casey Nicholaw (Aladdin, Book of Mormon).
Presale for the show begins at the end of the month for audience rewards members and at the start of October for everyone else. It keeps the same story of the movie, but in musical form. I'm already booking my trip to New York City. I HAVE to see this.
