Canadian Miss Universe Contestant Dresses Up As Weed

The Miss Universe pageant took place over the weekend and in the "National Costume" competition, Miss Canada decided to dress up as legal cannabis.

Alyssa Boston worked with Nicaraguan designer Neftali Espinoza to create the glittery green number that even comes with a matching scepter. When Boston graced the stage the announcer explained that the outfit was meant to help discuss the end of the stigma that revolves around cannabis. When bringing her onstage the announce exclaims that "this sparkly green costume represents the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes. This contestant wants to end the stigma that’s been around since 1920. If you’ve got the need, you can grab legal weed with Canada.”
