T&D Dog of the Week: Sally

This week we’d like to feature sweet Sally as our dog of the week. Sally - Oregon Humane Society.

Sally is a volunteer favorite! She’s a German Shepard who is a little over 5 years old and weighs 70 lbs- and she has a video! Sally can be a bit shy at first, but warms right up once she knows you. Because she can be shy and worried, she’ll need to go to a calm, low traffic home with a fenced yard. Sally is the best dog I think I’ve ever walked on leash. She’s perfect! I wish my OWN dogs walked as well on leash as Sally does! The shelter environment is tough for Sally. With all the dogs around it can get very noisy and that makes Sally nervous. Thankfully, she just went into foster care so she’s able to stay with a family in their home while she waits for her forever family to come along.  Sally will need to meet any potential canine companions before going home, and will do best in a home without cats (She likes to chase them). She has lived with children and has done well with them, but because she’s shy she’d probably prefer a home without toddlers (they can be grabby). She takes treats gently, rides nicely in the car, and is potty trained. Does Sally sound like she might be the girl for you? If so, please fill out the questionnaire in her profile and someone from Oregon Humane will call to tell you more about her.
