T&D Dog of the Week: Flora

This week we’d like to feature Flora, and what a sweet girl she is! Flora - Oregon Humane Society Flora is a 9 year old 50 pound American Pitt Bull. Beautiful Flora is looking for a home with people who will love and pamper her for the rest of her life. Flora was once much heavier but you’d never know it now! Goes to show what exercise and a healthy diet can do. Sweet Flora is a perfect weight, feels much better and is as shiny as can be. Watch her video and see for yourself!

Flora knows sit, down, and shake and she LOVES toys! Stuffies, balls, it doesn’t matter, she loves them all! Oh, and did I mention what a great nose she has? She can sometimes (not always) pull a little hard on leash when her nose is telling her there’s something good to smell nearby!

Flora recently had a dental procedure were she got her teeth cleaned and had a couple that were broken taken out. She’s also on thyroid medication and will be for the rest of her life. She can be picky with some other dogs so she’ll need to meet any potential canine companions before going home. We don’t know if she’s ever been around cats before, so it’s probably best she go to a cat free home.

Don’t let her age fool you- this girl has lots of energy. Flora is a fun loving girl who is ready to find her forever family. She is athletic and agile and would be a great hiking, running or walking buddy.

Does Flora sound like she might be the right girl for you? If so, please fill out the application at the bottom of her profile and someone from Oregon Humane will give you a call to chat more about her.
