Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been assassinated he was shot while he was giving a campaign speech yesterday. He was taken to the hospital but never regained consciousness. The 67-year-old was the longest serving Prime Minister of Japan, holding the position from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2012 to 2020. He was campaigning on someone else’s behalf. READ MORE.

Matt and Ross Duffer, creators of “Stranger Things,” have announced that there’s a spin-off series on the way, along with a stage play set within the world of Stranger Things. We don’t really have any details other than the fact that the Duffer brothers are saying it’ll be “1000% different” from the original series and not centered on any of the current cast. READ MORE.

Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana is doing well after collapsing on stage earlier this week. Santana was performing at a show near Detroit when he went down about an hour into his set. The show was immediately cancelled. Afterwards he left a message for fans on Facebook saying that he’d forgotten to eat or drink water and was suffering from severe dehydration and exhaustion. Inflation appears to be hitting the Costco food court. Business Insider reports the warehouse store will be raising the price of two popular items. The chicken bake will go from costing $2.99 to $3.99 and soda will jump from 59 cents to 69 cents. The famous hot dog and soda combo will remain at a $1.50, the price it's been since being added to the menu in 1985. READ MORE.

The infamous Batman suit worn by George Clooney in the 1997 film, "Batman & Robin," is going up for auction. The suit notoriously drew attention for the fact that it featured plastic nipples. It hits the auction block July 22nd the opening bid is set for $40,000. READ MORE.
