We join Les Schwab Tire Centers in honoring the commitment to our communities by the PTSD Foundation of America.
The PTSD Foundation of America is dedicated to serving those who have served our country and are coming home with the unseen wounds of war. It is our mission to provide combat veterans and their families healing and offer a renewed sense of hope.
In the Portland area, we operate peer-to-peer support groups in Hillsboro and Happy Valley, with more locations to come soon. Warrior Groups are led by combat veterans, serving veterans from all conflicts. The VA estimates that we lose 20 veterans a day to suicide (VA Study 2014, released in 2016), but that number is likely just the tip of the iceberg.

In addition, the PTSD Foundation of America—Portland is part of the Camp Hope outreach in Houston, TX. Camp Hope is an interim housing facility for combat veterans to take part in an intensive mentoring program. It is completely free for veterans to travel to Camp Hope, as all costs are covered by the PTSD Foundation of America. Learn more about Camp Hope in the video below.
