Wixen Music Publishing Sues Spotify
Wixen Music Publishing has sued music streaming service Spotify for $1.6 Billion, claiming that they have used thousands of songs without license or compensation. Wixen has claimed that Spotify failed to claim the proper licensing in order to use their music. They also allege that Spotify outsourced the task of obtaining the licenses to "Harry Fox Agency" which was also not equipped to obtain the paperwork. More info on this story at Rolling Stone.
