Nita Strauss Funds First Solo Album

Bad ass guitarist Nita Strauss successfully funded her first solo album within just a few hours on Kickstarter. The original goal was at $20,000 and as of this morning, she has hit almost $60,000.

"I've spent most of my career playing other people's songs. Now I want to show the world what I'm all about," reads the tagline for her campaign. Strauss makes sure those ready to fund her album, know that this is fully HER. This includes the album being fully about the instruments, and absolutely no vocals. She has already released one single, Pandemonium.

Strauss has currently been playing guitar for Alice Cooper and is ready to venture off. One of the most recognizable guitarists in the rock world, the album is bound to be an epic one. She has graced the cover of the magazine Guitar World where she has her own column, and was the first woman to ever have her own signature Ibanez guitar.

There are still plenty of perks available if you choose to fund her album on Kickstarter. For only $10 you can get a digital copy of the album upon release.

Frances Bean Cobain Shares Her Voice For The First Time In Tribute To Her Father

In a now deleted Instagram post, Frances Bean Cobain posted to Instagram a short clip of her very first original song. Her vocals are much softer, and not what you would come to expect from the daughter of Nirvana legend Kurt Cobain.

Should we expect a grunge album from Frances? The answer is... probably not. In an interview from 2015 she commented on not really enjoying the genre, or even Nirvana.

YouTube user kiki slimky uploaded the deleted video to her page, check it out below.
