Sabrina The Teenage Witch Reboot Hitting Netflix

Who could forget Sabrina Spellman and Harvey Kinkle in Greendale? From 1996-2003 Sabrina The Teenage Witch graced our television screens starring Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina Spellman and Nate Richart as our favorite Harvey Kinkle.

With the popularity of Riverdale it was only a matter of time before we got a darker offshoot of Sabrina Spellman and the Greendale gang.

While Sabrina is apart of the Archie universe, this isn't the Sabrina Spellman you may be used to seeing. From either the live action show, or the cartoon that ran from 1971-1974 or the reboot from 1999-2000. This is based off the Archie Horror comics version of Sabrina, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

The comic has been running since 2014 and is a darker take on the characters that we know and love. It follows a teenage Sabrina in the late 1960's. The first five comic's in the series (there are currently eight) follow the witch on her 16th birthday while she must choose whether to be a witch or pursue a mortal life with her human boyfriend Harvey Kinkle.

Netflix is now set to debut the series on October 26th and stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman and Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle.

Sabrina The Teenage Witch was one of my favorite shows as a kid, and as an adult horror is my favorite movie genre. I'm stoked to see the darker take on one of my favorite characters as a child. Are you planning checking out the show?

It premieres October 26th on Netflix, just in time for Halloween.

(Humble brag but I met Ross Lynch who will be playing Harvey Kinkle about a year ago, can't wait to see him as my favorite heartthrob!)
