We finally got a musical version of Mean Girls, and now The Notebook? Ingrid Michaelson made the announcement on NBC's Today show that she is composing the score while Kevin McCollum and Kurt Deutsch produce the stage show. This Is Us writer and producer is writing the book.
As of now that is all the information we have, no release dates or cast announcements, but she did speak on the Today show about the process.
"It’s been a long process for me. It’s been slowly building. … I haven’t been able to talk about it because we’ve been in negotiations and getting directors and stuff. But finally, my producers signed off and said this is a perfect way to announce it."
