Portland bar Barrel Room, is suing their previous bartender, Gunnar Hokan Jorstad, over claims that he was drunk while serving customers last January.

In a report by KATU, the bar is suing Jorstad for $115,000, or $5,500 for each day of revenue will lose during their 21 day suspension.

Oregon Live could not reach Jorstad for comment, but did say the suit only states that a police officer had noticed him intoxicated outside the bar at around 10pm. Later in the night police were called to the scene to remove him from Barrel Room. He was relieved of his duties that day.

Commission spokesman Matthew Van Sickle said that while not only suspending the bar, Jorstad received a 18 day suspension on his license to serve. Oregon Live reported that it looks as if Jorstad is no longer with Barrel Room, and is instead at another bar in Portland.
