A Salem couple had their wedding come to a crash when the Willamette Queen Riverboat hit rocks during their ceremony in a report by KGW. The whole instance was caught on video as the riverboat began to shake and guests fell out of their chairs.
Richard Chesbrough, owner of the Willamette Queen, told KGW that in the 21 years of operation the boat had never crashed into the specific bed of rocks.
The co captain of the boat said that they had to pilot the boat into a different spot on the river to avoid a hanging tree, and then lost control of the boat as a strong current took over.
The couple says that they have been given a refund and hope to ride the boat again.
