Firefighters Tangle With African Cat

Clark County firefighters had to deal with a 60 pound African cat called a serval while battling a house fire in Felida on Sunday.

When firefighters arrived, the homeowner was trying to put out the fire in the back of the house.

The African cat was inside of the home and bit one of the firefighter's fingers.

After putting the fire out, they kept the cat inside until animal control and the homeowner could contain the animal and take it outside.

The firefighter wasn't seriously injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
