The cause of a deadly explosion that rocked a Troutdale, Oregon neighborhood has reportedly been released.

KOIN learned from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office that "welding equipment and associated gases stored inside a vehicle" contributed to an early morning explosion on September 13. Investigators determined the explosion was "not criminal in any way."

Deputies were called out to the 600 block of Southeast 42nd Circle on reports of a loud explosion and vehicle fire, the sheriff's office says. Officials located the fire and the Gresham Fire Department responded to the scene, extinguishing the blaze.

They also found the body of a man inside the vehicle, who was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only death from the incident. A home was also badly damaged, reporters added.

Special agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) believe the explosion originated from inside the vehicle.

Authorities did not release the victim's name or cause of death at the request of the family. There is no danger to the public, they added.

Earlier this year, authorities responded to an explosion that happened in Polk County. It turns out the explosion originated from an illegal marijuana lab.
