The Portland Trail Blazers will welcome fans back to Moda Center with the start of the 2021-22 NBA season on Wednesday, October 20 vs. Sacramento with a 7:00 p.m. tipoff. Fans can expect plenty of fun giveaways, live music, gameday posters, new food and beverage options and so much more. Tickets to opening night and the remainder of the Trail Blazers season are available now at trailblazers.com/tickets or by calling 844-RIP-CITY. Health and safety will continue to be at the forefront with required proof of either COVID vaccination or a negative test taken within 72 hours and mandatory masks.

Fans will be greeted on the Rose Quarter Commons to an outdoor pregame party (weather pending) starting at 5:00 p.m. with a live DJ, Fred Meyer sign making stations, free Rip City placards, airbrush artists and more. The party continues inside Moda Center on the concourse with Blaze’s Parade, where you’ll catch Blaze and his friends interacting with fans, giving out prizes and taking photos. Once inside the arena bowls, free giveaways await fans on each seat, including Opening Night hats courtesy of Moda Health. Fans will want to be in their seats to experience another epic game open and player introductions.

Oregon natives and America’s Got Talent (AGT) Semifinalists We Three will be performing twice throughout the evening, first with a special performance of the National Anthem, then again with a live performance at center court during halftime. We Three, the sibling trio and lifelong Trail Blazers fans made up of Joshua, Bethany and Manny, have reached international fame and have now accumulated over 100 million streams of their music.

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the NBA, the Trail Blazers and new jersey patch partner StormX are celebrating the most historic eras of Trail Blazers basketball. To tip off the 2021-22 season, we’re starting by featuring Trail Blazers GOATs (Greatest of All Time). Stop by the Rose Quarter Commons on Opening Night for a photo opportunity with some Trail Blazers-branded goats and a raffle opportunity to win jerseys and Goat Yoga class passes from local business Original Goat Yoga.

The Trail Blazers Foundation 5050 Raffle returns this year for the first time in 18 months to raise important funds for local nonprofits and give fans the chance to win thousands of dollars. Fans can purchase tickets at two kiosks and from mobile sellers throughout the arena through halftime of every home game.

The Trail Blazers Gameday Poster Series is back for the 2021-22 season. Each commemorative poster showcases unique designs from local artists for each Trail Blazers home game. One hundred numbered -edition posters are printed and available for sale first come, first served at the new Rip City Made Pop-Up retail location at entry A5 on the 100 level concourse next to the flagship Rip City Clothing Co. location inside Moda Center. New this season, gameday artists will also re-interpret their poster art into a commemorative t-shirt, also available for sale each home game. A portion of all net proceeds from the Gameday Poster Series and t-shirt sales will be donated to the Trail Blazers Foundation, benefiting local nonprofit organizations in Oregon and SW Washington. To date, the program has raised over $65,000 and has also provided local artists a platform to share their unique talents and interpretation of Rip City with our fans.

Staying true to our local roots, the Rose Quarter has plenty of new local food and beverage options. We’re proud to support these minority-owned vendors inside Moda Center this season:

  • Baes Fried Chicken - Fried chicken restaurant from Portland restaurateur Micah Camden (SuperDeluxe) and Portland-born NFL lineman Ndamukong Suh’
  • Cookie Dough Café - Founded by Joan and Julia out of a passion for baking with their mother when they were children.
  • Kama’aina – Made up of a bunch of local families from O’ahu and headed by Chef Kevin Yamada, their food is all about ohana (family), sharing their lives and caring for one another.
  • Fifty Licks - Fifty Licks owner Chad Draizin loves food science. He is fascinated by the chemical cartwheels that happen when beer is brewed, bread is baked, and ice cream is churned (or spun, as they say in the biz).

ROOT SPORTS, a joint venture between AT&T Sports Networks and the Seattle Mariners, is bringing Trail Blazers games to more fans than ever before, almost doubling reach across Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
