There was a high rise fire in downtown Vancouver Friday morning. An apartment on the tenth floor of Smith Tower was burning.
A second alarm was called bringing 19 units and over 50 firefighters. Once they reached the apartment the fire was quickly put out. Windows were opened and the building ventilated. There were no injuries. One resident was displaced.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
Clark County Fire District 6 and Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue also responded.
