Oregon Legislature Considers Joint Moda Center Ownership

The Oregon Legislature will consider joining Portland in ownership of the Moda Center.

It's the oldest arena in the NBA that hasn't undergone a major renovation. It supports nearly 45-hundred jobs and 670-million-dollars in regional economic impact.

Supporters are calling it "Oregon's Arena."

The bill would allow the state to offer construction bonds that would be paid for by taxes on economic activity at the Moda Center.
