Suspect Arrested After Long Standoff

A domestic violence standoff lasted nearly 12 hours in Northeast Portland on Friday.

Police used two robots during the incident and the suspect, 39-year-old Benny Miller, damaged both of them.

Officers deployed gas forcing Miller to climb onto the roof, but he still refused to come down.

As police approached, he grabbed a tree branch and swung down to the ground. A K-9 officer helped take him into custody.
