A driver was killed after her car was hit by an Amtrak train Tuesday afternoon in Milwaukie.
Police say the car was stopped on the tracks at the Southeast Harrison Street and 31st Avenue crossing.
The crossing arms were down when the car was hit. The southbound Amtrak train stopped.
The woman was removed from the car in critical condition and died at a hospital.
A PGE power pole also came down causing a power outage in the area.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
