Four people were killed at Bend's Silver Rail Elementary School by a 16-year-old suspect Thursday afternoon.
Police say the person shot at a car outside of the school and then went inside where he killed three students ages five, eight, and eleven, along with a teacher.
An armed bystander followed the suspect into the school and fatally shot him.
A seven-year-old student and a 54-year-old teacher were hospitalized in critical condition.
Classes are cancelled Friday in the Bend-La Pine School District and counselors are available for students, staff and families.
The investigation into the shooter's background is ongoing.
