Conservative Talk Show Host, Rush Limbaugh, Has Passed Away

Rush had been a staple in the conservative talk arena for 30 years. He was 70 years old when he passed away this morning at his home in Florida. Limbaugh announced that he had lung cancer last year.

He got his start in radio in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where he started his career as a disc jockey in 1971. After working at several local radio stations, he began broadcasting nationally in 1988. Best known as the host of the nationally syndicated Rush Limbaugh Show, Limbaugh was the author of seven books and hosted a national television show in the 1990s.
