Dead Whale on Long Beach, WA

According to our friends at KATU:

A small Minke whale was found washed ashore on the Long Beach peninsula several days ago.

According to the Seaside Aquarium, the whale had been dead so long that due to decomposition, gasses built up inside of the animal. Once it washed ashore, the pressure from the gasses and the whale's weight pushed its diaphragm outside of its mouth, creating a balloon-like effect.

There's only one way to get rid of a dead whale around here and it involves Paul Linnman and a case of dynamite.
