Kerry King Gives That Old School Slayer Feel With "Toxic"!

It's Kerry King's Birthday!

King was born and raised in Los Angeles, California where he formed Slayer with Tom Araya, and Jeff Hanneman. Adding the future drum icon Dave Lombardo, Slayer would become one of the four pillars of Thrash Metal, as they blazed their way through the metal scene from 1981 to 2019. After, 43 years Slayer called it quits and King pursued his solo career, with a new band he named after himself "Kerry King," whose debut From Hell I Rise was released in May.

The new Kerry King single “Toxic” gives off classic Slayer vibes, as the band rips into familiar "Angel Of Death" riffs. From the new KERRY KING album “From Hell I Rise”, Toxic comes with a new video directed by Jim Louvou & Tony Aguilera.

Kerry King previously released "Residue", the second single from the album, with a video Directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera, That video was shot at their downtown Phoenix studio.

Kerry King will join Lamb of God and Mastodon on the road this summer, as the bands announced the tour, dubbed "Ashes of Leviathan," to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Lamb of God's "Ashes of the Wake," and Mastodon's "Leviathan."

Both albums were released on August 31, 2004, so in tribute the bands will be performing the albums in full. Kerry King and Malevolence will open, along with Unearth on select dates. The tour starts on July 19 and run through the United States and Canada, wrapping up in Omaha, Nebraska at the Astro Amphitheater on August 31st!
