Alice Cooper Looking Back To The Band For A Deluxe Release

Alice Cooper is giving fans a look back at the old days with a deluxe edition of "Muscle Of Love"!

Muscle of Love, was the final album from the original Alice Cooper Band, in the days before Vinnie officially took the name. The deluxe edition comes with early versions and alternate mixes of all of its tracks, and available in 2-LP pink vinyl and 1-CD/Blu-ray configurations, with a Blu-ray disc available on November 20th.

There's also a track-by-track account of the album, with interviews from guitarist Michael Bruce, bassist Dennis Dunaway and drummer Neal Smith and guitarist Nick Mashbir, who also played on the album.

Released in 1973, the album was a return to the band's hard rock sound after the success of the theatrical, Billion Dollar Babies and School's Out. Not performing up to those classic albums it peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and only reached gold status. By the end of the album's run in the next year the band was burned out and Alice Cooper played their final show in April. By that time Vincent legally changed his name from Vincent Furnier to Alice Cooper, went on to have a successful solo career.
