Hayao Miyazaki Has Returned to Studio Ghibli

Okay, so everyone who knows me, or even just sees a glimpse of my forearm, knows I love Studio Ghibli. I have Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service tattooed on my right forearm. Huge shout out to Nathan, if you ever need a japanese, anime, or watercolor tattoo, check him out!

So this means I'm pretty stoked for Boro The Caterpillar which is set to release in 2019. Back on 2013 Miyazaki said that he would be going into retirement, which broke my heart. This only lasted a few months before he announced he would be coming out of retirement.

It has been reported that since Feburary that Miyazaki has been working on the new film out of his home studio. Now he has moved into working inside Studio Ghibli. They even threw an opening ceremony to celebrate his return, which included Miyazaki bringing together the main collaborators in order to work on the project.
