A Florida man has been charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault after telling his neighbors that he was "going to kill them with kindness," only later returning with a machete that he had dubbed "kindness."
Two neighbors called police on Bryan Duane Stewart, a 30-year-old from Milton, Florida, saying that he allegedly had been yelling and banging on their home, claiming that "saying that he was going to 'killem with kindness," according to a report from BuzzFeed News. One neighbor, Patrick McCall, said that he then saw Stewart run out of his home brandishing a machete that he had written "kindness" on. Allegedly McCall was not the intended target, but another neighbor, Jessie James Hunter.
McCall was able to get in between the two, but did suffer a cut in the hand from the attack. Hunter believes the attack came after they had asked Stewart to "keep it down."
Stewart was taken into custody and has a bond set at $15,000.
