Disney fans online have been petitioning online for Disneyland's iconic ride, Splash Mountain, to be redesigned to the rides controversial history.
Splash Mountain is the ride based of the film Song of the South, that was not added to the Disney+ library or available to purchase, due to it's racist stereotypes and romanticism of the antebellum south.
Fans of the movies and park have not only been asking for the redesign of the ride, but for more attractions featuring the companies only Black princess, Tiana.
Disney Parks have now confirmed that the ride will be "completely reimagined with a new story inspired by an all-time favorite film, “The Princess and the Frog.” According to the Disney Parks Blog, no date is set for the change.
