First Image of Black Hole Released

The first image of a black hole has been released by scientists using an "event horizon telescope." The telescope was built by using eight different radio telescopes from around the world, to create a telescope that is virtually the same size as Earth itself.

While the image is not TECHNICALLY of the black hole, it is of the event horizon. According to their Twitter page the image features the "bright ring formed as light bends in the intense gravity around a black hole that is 6.5 billion times more massive than the Sun."
