Man In New Mexico Arrested After Forcing Cat To Eat Meth

A man in New Mexico has been arrested after beating his girlfriend, and after vets found meth in the bloodstream of his cat. The man was charged with false imprisonment, two counts of battery against a household member, interference with communication and two misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty. Once the meth was found in the cats bloodstream the misdemeanor was upgraded to a felony.

The police had originally be called to the home after an argument with the mans girlfriend turned violent where a "a verbal argument turned physical, and Spaulding allegedly punched her multiple times and took away her cell phone," according to People.
