T&D Dog of the Week: Daphne

Daphne is a gorgeous 3 year 1 month old, 65 lb, hound/pit bull mix (and we wouldn’t be surprised if she had a bit of Shepard in her as well). She came to us from a too full shelter in Tulsa, OK where she’s getting her second chance at a good life here in the Pacific Northwest. Be sure to watch the video in her profile! We don’t know much about Daphne’s history in Oklahoma. We do know she can sometimes be barrier reactive- that is, she barks when people and other dogs walk by her kennel. She’s very playful as you can see in her video. She loves to toss her toys around and I’ve heard she’s also a big fan of playing ‘tug’! Daphne may do best as the only pet in the home as she can be kind of possessive about her things with other animals. She spent a little bit of time around children and did well with them (though she wanted to steal their popcorn, she didn’t)! She’s sweet and energetic and she loves playing outside with her people. Is this beautiful girl the dog for you? If so, please fill out the questionnaire at the bottom of her profile and someone from Oregon Humane will give you a call to chat more about her.
