Meet Spidey, this week T&D Dog of the Week! Spidey has been with the Oregon Human Society since early February and is very worried in the shelter environment, so just yesterday he went into a foster home and he’ll be there until he finds his new family. Spidey is almost a year and a half old, weighs 60 pounds and is an American Pit Bull. In his previous home, he lived with four dog-savvy kids between the ages of 3 and 11 and did great with them. Until coming to OHS he’d never really been around other dogs and since he’s been with us he’s let us know he doesn’t really like them. He’s never been around cats either, so he’ll need to go to a home where he’s the only pet. You can see in his video, Spidey LOVES to play and also loves people. He’s a smart boy, too. He knows the commands sit, down, leave it and off and he loves to play outside, eat treats and peanut butter and chew on things so you’ll want to be sure to have appropriate toys that he can chew. He’s a very affectionate boy who is both crate trained and potty trained. Does Spidey seem like he might be the boy for you? If so, please fill out the questionnaire at the bottom of his profile and someone from Oregon Humane will give you a call to tell you more about him.
