This week we’d like to feature Padre. He has a video! Padre is a 5 year old, 82 pound, American Pit Bull. Padre came to us from Jackson County, where sadly his owner passed away. He lived in a home with 5 other dogs, but they were all kept separate from one another and we’re not sure why. He’s social with dogs and prefers to hang out with lower energy dogs. He can sometimes be selective with male dogs so he’ll need to meet any potential canine companions before going home. And he’s very friendly with people. His favorite thing to do it to hang out with people and get pets and rubs, which explains why he’s a volunteer favorite. And although he likely didn’t get a lot of opportunity to walk on leash in his previous life, he does very well on leashed walks. Padre can be a bit nervous about new things, so we’d like to find him a calm environment, low traffic home with a fully fenced yard. Does Padre seem like he might be the dog for you? If so, just fill out the questionnaire at the bottom of his profile and someone from Oregon Humane will give you a call to chat more about him.
