T&D Dog of the Week: Gimili

This week we’d like to feature a very special dog who his looking for a very special home. This week’s dog of the week is Gimili, and he has a video! Gimili - Oregon Humane Society. Gimili is about 5 years old, weighs 69 pounds and we think he’s a cattle dog mix, and are currently awaiting a DNA test to find out for sure. Gimili is looking for home where his new people are dog experienced, but don’t currently have a dog (or any other animals). Gimili needs to be the only pet in the home as he can be picky about other animals. Also, it’s important to know that he’s deaf, and partly because of that he can be very worried until he warms up to his people. He needs a calm, low traffic home with a fenced yard and without any kiddos as young, unpredictable little ones can be pretty scary when you’re an anxious dog. He loves to go on walks and does beautifully on leash. He’s quite the snuggle bug once he warms up to you and he’s potty trained. Bonus! He had some broken teeth when he came to us, but that’s all been taken care of. He’s had an advanced dental procedure, some extractions, and a good clean and polish and now his pearly whites are good as new! Gimili could stand to lose a few pounds and is currently on a low fat diet—and extra walks will help with that, too! Do you think a sweet, slightly chubby, deaf dog with fabulous teeth might be the one for you! If so, please fill out the questionnaire in his profile and someone from Oregon Humane will call to chat with you about Gimili!
