This week we’d like to feature sweet Roscoe. Roscoe is a young guy, really still a puppy at one year and two months old. He’s a 51 pound coon hound/retriever mix. And oh, he has hound in him! Our Roscoe can be a talkative boy and would likely do best in a single family home without shared walls. Roscoe - Oregon Humane Society. You can see in his video what a smart boy he is, already knowing sit, down, and shake. Like any young dog, Roscoe is full of energy and is looking for an active person or family who will be sure he gets the physical and mental activity he needs. He’s a kind dog who loves attention and really loves to run and play! Roscoe will do best in a home without small animals (like cats) because he likes to chase them. You must be on the lookout while on walks with him because he finds squirrels especially interesting! He likes to play with some dogs, so will need to meet any potential canine companions before he goes home. Roscoe has lived with small children before, but he can be a bit rough and tumble so would likely do better with older kids (or very sturdy little ones). Roscoe is also potty trained and didn’t have accidents in his previous home.
