First, I realize I completely forgot about dog of the week last week. So sorry about that! With all the hubbub of the holidays, it completely slipped my mind!
This week we’d like to feature a handsome young dog named Oreo! Look at those eyes (one blue one brown)! Look at those ears! Check out his video! Oreo - Oregon Humane Society
Oreo is a young guy, just over a year old. Really, he’s still a puppy, albeit a big puppy! He’s a lab/husky mix, weighs just over 58 pounds and is full of puppy energy. Oreo loves playing! He loves playing with toys, he loves entertaining himself, but he truly loves playing with other dogs and would like to go home with a canine friend. He regularly participates in play groups at Oregon Humane and is also on the OHS running team! Oreo has lived with kids from the ages of 8 to 17 and did really well with them, though he might be a little too rough and tumble for younger kiddos unless they’re super sturdy ones.
Oreo does have an ‘escape artist’ history, but it’s not what you think. It’s not that he escaped from his home, but rather, while being boarded at his vet clinic he would try to escape his kennel when the door was opened. And who could blame him! I mean, it’s got to be fun running around in the back of a vet clinic, right? Speaking of kennels, Oreo is crate trained and also potty trained. He’s the full package!
