Mark Lanegan, frontman of the Screaming Trees and grunge innovator, has passed away at the age of 57. His cause of death has not been revealed but his family is asking for privacy at this time. READ MORE.

Last week a super rare Kobe Bryant card went up for auction and sold for $2 million. According to officials it’s arguably Kobe's best card in existence. The front of the card features an image of a young Bryant in his #8 Lakers jersey, the back of the card displays the Mamba and his stats from the '96-'97 season. They say it’s more desirable than even a Kobe Bryant rookie card or a Kobe autograph. READ MORE.

This summer, ODOT is hoping to improve congestion along parts of the Historic Columbia River Highway by implementing a fee. From May 24 through Sept. 5, they’ll require people in personal vehicles to buy a timed-access waterfall corridor permit. They'd be required from 9am to 6pm. The purpose of this is to help regulate the number of cars going through the area to alleviate congestion, especially near Multnomah Falls. Cost of the permit will probably under $5. READ MORE.

The Oscars are going to look different this year as eight of the 23 categories won't be presented live. Academy President David Rubin told Academy members the move was made to increase viewer engagement. This comes after last year's awards show was the lowest-rated Oscars telecast ever. READ MORE.

Hackers have discovered a “vulnerability” in Chrome, and Google is recommending an immediate update. Nothing specific has been mentioned but they describe it as a high-level threat. Typically, Chrome updates happen automatically, but they recommend doing one manually just in case.
