This week we’d like to feature Miss Ivy. Miss Ivy - Oregon Humane Society . Ivy is a cute, small (39 pound), 1-year-old American Pit Bull mix. And, she has a video! As you can see in her video, she loves to run and play—and snuggle!
Miss Ivy (Ivy) is a very sweet, young adolescent dog who is keen to learn but who has experienced some home alone anxiety and can play a bit too rough. Ivy needs a quiet, adult only, routine-focused home with a secure, fully fenced yard. Her person needs to be patient and calm and have the time and interest to go to training classes. She has a very sweet personality, she loves to run and play in the backyard while you are outside with her, she loves to play “food find” where you hide food in the yard for her to sniff out and she is very receptive to learning. Peanut butter and string cheese are her very favorite food treats. She has had issues being left home alone and has been vocal and full of anxiety. This is why living in a house (not an apartment from which she was returned from before) is necessary. She needs a calm, quiet, predictable home with adults. Ivy does seem to like dogs and would do best with a calm, neutral dog who will play, but who won’t encourage her rough playstyle. This could be a good way to get some of her energy out, but it needs to be with familiar dogs. (If you have a dog, a meet and greet will be required to take place at OHS before going home to make sure of a good match).
Ivy’s looking for someone who will help her to become the best girl she can be. Do you think that might be you? If so, fill out the questionnaire at the bottom of her profile and make an appointment to come in to Oregon Humane Society to meet her!
