Elon Musk is backing out of the $44-billion deal to buy Twitter. He wrote a letter announcing the purchase was off on Friday primarily because according to Elon, Twitter hasn’t given him information he asked for – specifically about the company’s claims that only 5% of its monetizable daily active users are spam accounts. Not surprisingly, the folks at Twitter are lawyering up and say they are committed to closing to deal for the terms agreed upon. READ MORE.

Today is July 11th which means… free Slurpees! This is the first time 7-11 is actually calling it Free Slurpee Day and since they’re fully embracing this year, it’s gotten less cool. If you look up in the night sky this week, you'll see something that only happens twice this year. A supermoon will be visible on Wednesday with the moon arriving at its closest point to the Earth for all of 2022. A dating website just put out a list of the Sweatiest Cities in America and here in the PNW we did pretty well overall but special shoutout to Vancouver, WA ranked who 192nd and Salem, OR ranked 196th out of 200th. Thor: Love and Thunder came out this past weekend and crushed the box office, it raked in $143m domestically and $302m worldwide. It's the third highest-grossing opening weekend for a release this year behind Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Jurassic World Dominion. READ MORE.

In June, Starbucks added the Chicken, Maple Butter, and Egg Sandwich to their food menu. Less than a week later, it was quietly pulled. New reports say the decision was made after an influx of customers and employees claimed that sandwich routinely came with a side of diarrhea.
