A study in Australia found that picking your nose might cause Alzheimer's. A specific type of bacteria has been linked to plaques seen in Alzheimer's patients' brains and they say it might get in through your nose. They think the bacteria can bypass your bloodstream and get to your brain through your olfactory nerve, which is what gives you your sense of smell.
