The number of people traveling during Thanksgiving is expected to increase this year to just shy of pre-pandemic levels. AAA predicts that 54.6 million people will travel 50 miles or more from home this year which is 98% of pre-pandemic volumes, making it the third-busiest for Thanksgiving travel since 2000. A total of 49 million plan to travel by car, 4.5 million will fly. READ MORE.

Mariah Carey just heard a word she's probably not used to hearing: NO. Because her bid to trademark the phrase "Queen of Christmas" was DENIED. She also failed to trademark the phrases "Princess Christmas" and "Christmas Princess”. She was hoping to lock them down for a variety of products, but she faced opposition, most notably from singer Elizabeth Chan... who actually has an album titled "The Queen of Christmas". READ MORE.

NASA just launched its Artemis One moon rocket overnight. It marks the first step in returning Americans to the moon and eventually on to Mars. It's an un-crewed mission that will last four to six weeks, circle the moon, and come back. If all goes well, Artemis Two will make the same journey with astronauts later down the road – before the final Artemis Three mission lands astronauts on the surface sometime after 2024. READ MORE.

Amazon is announcing a new virtual healthcare service. Amazon Clinic will allow patients in 32 states to use a secure portal to message healthcare workers about treatments for common conditions. Those include allergies, birth control, and acne. The service doesn't yet accept insurance, but insurance can be used to pay for medications prescribed through the platform and filled at any pharmacy. READ MORE.
