Ian Fleming's James Bond novels are being edited to remove offensive material. New editions of the classic Bond novels are expected to hit shelves this spring with racially insensitive language removed. Fleming's estate worked with "sensitivity readers" to flag and remove what they see as language that reflects outdated attitudes about race. In addition to removing the race identification of several characters, the sex scenes have been toned down as well. READ MORE.

Sources are now saying that Tom Sizemore is not expected to survive after suffering a brain aneurysm at his home in southern California earlier this month. The actor has been in the ICU since collapsing at his home and doctors have recommended Sizemore's family consider end of life decisions. Doctors say he suffered a brain aneurysm as a result of a stroke on February 18th. He's been in a coma ever since. READ MORE.

According to a new study, mushrooms, the magic kind, could help people kick bad habits, like smoking. Researchers from the University of Cincinnati say psychedelic drugs appear to help patients change unwanted behaviors by helping them reinvent their perceptions of themselves. They concluded that people who genuinely wanted to quit smoking cigarettes and received psilocybin along with cognitive behavioral therapy, were much more likely to succeed than those who tried other traditional ways of quitting. Hundreds of drivers were forced to abandon their vehicles on local highways and city streets last week after a record snowstorm in the Portland area. According to the Portland Bureau of Transportation, nearly 350 vehicles had to be towed as a result. The city temporarily waived all parking tickets associated with the storm and suspended the $270 citation usually given when vehicles are towed for blocking traffic, however, if your vehicle was towed you will still be responsible for charges administered by local tow companies.
