TD&L Dog of the Week: Caldo

This week we’d like to feature Caldo! Caldo - Oregon Humane Society. In his profile he has a video and a bunch of photos. Caldo is a 3-year-old, 52-pound American Pit Bull who was found as a stray in Washington County. He was painfully thin when he was found, weighing in at only 40 pounds. He’s put on 12 pounds in the past month and a half! When he was found he was in rough shape with cuts and wounds on his lips, muzzle, and feet. Poor guy! I can only imagine what he’s gone through. But he’s doing so much better as you can see in his pictures and video. He loves being out and about and has been on some hiking outings while he’s been at Oregon Humane Society and of course he was sporting his ‘adopt me’ harness while out and about.

Caldo loves people and is such a snuggly boy. He’s really a sweetheart. He adores butt scratches and chest rubs and also loves playing with toys. But I think the best way to describe Caldo is an athlete! Check out the picture I’ve attached. Yes, Caldo is quite the climber. This isn’t the only time we’ve found him like this in his kennel! It’s kind of a regular thing! As one of our volunteers noted,  Caldo is looking for a family who will sign him up for agility, scent work, running, hiking, dock diving, flyball -- not just one sport, all of them. Oh, and has a tall fence!

He’s a lovely, athletic pup who has had a rough start in life. He has a lot of love to give to his forever person or family. Do you think that might be you? If so, please fill out the questionnaire in his profile and set up a time to come on out to Oregon Humane Society to meet him.
