This week we’d like to feature a great dog named Leslie! Leslie - Oregon Humane Society She’s about two years old and weighs 70 pounds and has the best ears! She’s a shepard mix, and I think she looks like she might have a little bit of Akita in her. Leslie came to us from Multnomah County Animal Services and I believe she ended up there as a stray. What a nice girl! She’s friendly and affectionate with people and LOVES to play ball. Not just fetch, but ball in general. When I visit with her I kick a tennis ball around her kennel and she loves chasing it.
We really don’t know much about Leslie, other than she’s sweet and affectionate, loves ball and toys, and could definitely use some work with her leash manners (we’re working on that)! She’s had some good interactions with some dogs, while she’s been conflicted about others. She will need to meet any potential canine companions before going home to be sure she gets along with them. We really don’t know if she’s ever been around cats, small animals, or kiddos. She might do best in an adult-only home, and because she can be quite a puller on leash, she’d likely do better in a quiet neighborhood where she won’t run into a lot of traffic (other animals, people, traffic) while she’s out on walks with you.
