This week we'd like to feature a really sweet boy named Ruger. I'll admit, I haven't met him myself yet, but I keep hearing from other volunteers what a lovely dog he is! Ruger - Oregon Humane Society And, he has a video. He's 1 year and 8 months old, weighs 58 pounds, and we think he's a pit bull mix, but he has something else in him to give him a very fancy tale. Ruger was adopted as a pup from Oregon Humane Society, but unfortunately his previous family was no longer able to keep him. They let us know that he loves kids, cats, dogs, people, dog parks, walks and hikes. He knows sit, stay, down, come, leave it, drop it, wait, and high-five. And he loves peanut butter. Hey, who doesn't?
But he doesn't love being alone so would do best with someone who is home most of the time or could bring him to work with them. And because he can be talkative when he's home alone he needs to go to a home without shared walls. Apartment or condo life is not for him.
But running is! He's on the running team and would love to go to an active family who will take him on runs.
